Unfortunately Walk Fife will be unable to run any of our planned children’s workshops this coming summer.
A funding situation that is sadly beyond our control has forced us to shelf our plans for 2018.
As many of you will already know, for several months the Walk Fife team have been working closely with a number of organisations to plan a short series of workshops for young Walk Fifers which were scheduled to take place during the school summer holidays of this year.
Despite all the hard work our team and partners put into planning of these workshops, at the very last minute we were unable to secure the full amount of funding required to enable these workshops to go ahead.
While this is disappointing news for many people, we will continue to highlight various upcoming activities suitable for children taking place throughout Fife through our website and social network accounts.
However, we now have a well developed plan and we also have a number of outline funding agreements in place. We intend to continue to work towards securing funding to allow us to host these workshops alongside our partners in the summer of 2019.
We would be very interested to hear from anyone who has experience in securing the funding required. If you think you can assist our team of keen volunteers, then please contact Rebecca at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you for the support…
The Walk Fife team would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their outstanding support of this aspect of our workshop programme. We would especially like to thank Gary Wilson and Kelly Cairns who have devoted many, many hours of their spare time developing the plans and approaching funding bodies.
The workshops for adults remain unaffected by this issue and will go ahead as planned. We will be announcing the next free workshop on this website soon.
