Walk Fife will be running a free workshop – Introduction To Using GPS Devices – on the 23rd February 2019.
A GPS device is a great tool for the walker and is something that you should know how to operate correctly.
Walk Fife volunteers Gary and Mark will be running this free workshop at a location near Dunfermline. Gary is well versed in many different forms of navigation thanks to his past career serving as a mountain leader and instructor in the British Army. Mark served in the Royal Marines as a mountain leader and is very experienced in teaching outdoor skills. Walk Fifer’s Sean and Brian will be assisting Gary and Mark throughout the workshop.
The first half of this workshop will take place in the classroom and will introduce the basics of using a GPS device to the novice user and will also demonstrate how to use a GPS device with the Walk Fife website.
