The town of Cupar offers many good walking routes through the surrounding countryside.
This circular walk starts on the outskirts of the town and a nice short stroll perfect for the Spring and Summer months.
The route begins in a public car park next to a community access leisure grounds. There are plenty of spaces available during weeks days but at weekends and evenings they are taken up by the local football teams who use the grounds. The start point can also be reached by a nearby bus stop.
Leaving the car park the route heads out of the town following the A913 on a well maintained path. After about 15 minutes of brisk walking the route crosses the road on to a farm road which you will follow for about 25-30minutes.
This leg of the walk offers plenty of wildlife to see and is a really good for butterflies and moths especially.
The route begins to loop around heading back towards the starting point. The farm road becomes a little more busy with traffic as you head along the final leg so take care.
This is pleasant and easy walk and is suitable for most walkers and I would grade it as being Grade 1/2.
