Drummy Wood is located near the village of Freuchie and is a nice place to walk through.
This a great walk in the spring and summer months and a favourite of my grandkids and Eric our springer spaniel.
This walking route follows rough tracks and contains sections that are unstable and muddy so it may not be suited for walkers with limited abilities.
The route begins at a small siding where there is room to park two cars. There are siding further along the the road that can be used as well. Leaving the parking up spot you pass through the gate into the woodland and follow the well marked path.
Follow the path through the wood until you reach the road. Turn left and follow the road a few metres and cross over to the next segment of wood. Take car ad this road is quite fast.
Carry on following the path until you again reach the road. This time turn right and then the first turning left. Follow the road and enter the next segment of wood . This section is less well defined but in essence you are following the edge of the woodland before turning right to join the final section of path which leads you back to the starting point.
Although this is a short walk it does offer a lot of different types of walking and is good for blowing away the cobwebs. There are lot of short walks like this around Freuchie and the surrounding area which I will be sharing with you all soon.
