Kellie Law (OS Grid NO 5175 0645) is a nice little countryside walk for the summer.

This walking route begins in the small village of Arncroach.

Parking is available at the side of the road but please take care not to block any residents in.

The route begins with a bit of a road walk. Take care walking walking along the road as some drivers do tend to drive really fast along these lanes although the the grass verges are wide enough for you to step up on to.

Follow the road up to Gillingshill Farm and follow the road around the back of the farm buildings and on to the path proper. The ascent to Kellie Law can be particularly boggy in the winter so come prepared.

The walk up the hill is gentle and easy going. Carry on up until you reach the hill top trig point. The views are nice and expansive which is surprising given that the hill is only 182m high.

The return routs takes you down the Eastern side of the hill and if you fancy it you can cut across to the lower Carnbee Law. As you work your way down to Carnbee Farm you will make your way back on to the road as you head back to Arncroach.

This section passes Kellie Castle and gardens which is a nice place to explore. The Castle is a National Trust for Scotland property and there is a fee for entry. Find out more at http://www.nts.org.uk/Property/Kellie-Castle-and-Garden

The last leg of the walk takes you back to the start of this pleasant country walk.
