The villages of Letham and Monimail sit in the depths of the Fife countryside.
This short walking route is a nice stroll through the countryside that connects them both.
The route begins in Letham. There are plenty of places to park your car but please be considerate of residents and do not block access.
The route follows School Brae up the hill exiting the village and taking you out into the countryside. The path is a farm access road so be careful and watch out for farm vehicles.
The trail cuts through a small woodland which offers plenty of birds, rabbits and insects to spot for those interested. The trail then turns West and follow the edge of some fields before meeting another farm road where you turn left.
The road leads you past a working farm. Farms can be a dangerous environment so make sure you have your children close to you and if you have a dog make sure you have it on its lead. After passing the farm the route cotunes until you turn right towards Monimail. This road can be busy so again take care.
The route then passes through the edge of the village and then follows the edge of a field (can be muddy) back towards the farm you passed through. Again take care. When you have passed the farm you will then follow the track back to Letham and your starting point.
