Although not strictly in Fife the Loch Leven Heritage Trail sits on the regions border and is well worth exploring when you are in the area.

This walking route is approximately 20km long and be split up in sections to make the route easier to walk.

The Loch Leven Heritage Trail links natural, historic and cultural heritage around the loch.

The route is level and barrier-free for most of its length and is suitable for walkers of all ages and abilities, for cyclists, for wheelchair and motorised scooter users.

You can find out more about the trail by visiting www.lochlevenheritagetrail.co.uk

This route begins and ends in the carpark at Findatie but you start the route from many stops around the loch.

There are plenty of picnic and rest stops throughout the route and my personal favorite is Loch Leven's Larder (a short detour and well worth it.)
