A pleasant coastal walk from West Wemyss.
You start the route in West Wemyss Car Park which is part of the Fife Coastal Path, you follow the path along the sea front out past the play parks and church its an easy walk, and plenty of beach and views to admire while walking.
There are a couple of small spots where the path is eroding slightly and care should be taken, but it won’t pose any problems to a walker.
You then head along the edges of the Wemyss Estate and out towards East Wemyss, following the Fife Coastal Path signs. before you reach East Wemyss the path forks and you go left and up a fairly short but steep hill path, only a 300m or so, which at the top is a perfect rest place and has the best view from a set of swings in Fife!.
Once you have rested you carry on round the edges of the houses, up a few steps and start heading back the direction you came from. This path now takes your descent through the forrest and is very sheltered if the weather turns and also give nice shade in the sun.
Be warned though it can be a little muddy and slippy if the weather has been wet for a while.
Once you come out of the forrest, you rejoin the Fife Coastal Ppath and head back along to West Wemyess Car Park where you started.
