Walking this week has again been a little painful.
My ankle injury returned to haunt me as I reached my 2900th mile.
Just mean I think I am in the clear something happens to trigger this problem and slows my progress.
I have spoken before about the importance of seeking professional assistance when you suffer from a injury as letting it linger may cause the injury to become more severe. So I arranged an appointment with my friendly physiotherapist to get myself checked out again. I had hoped for a quick fix but unfortunately that wasn’t going to be the case and I was advised to rest up for a 3 to 4 days and allow my ankle to heal.
It is important when you have an injury that you pay heed to the advice given by your doctor or professional health practitioner as injuries such as mine could easily worsen. So with that in mind I grabbed a pile of books and crashed on my couch for the rest of the week to give my battred ankle some well deserved rest.
Hopefully I will be back on the trail for week 37 when I will be heading over to the Trossachs for a a few days walking with some good friends and fellow Walk Fifers.
